About

Manami Matsushita is a New York–based concert pianist originally from Osaka, Japan.She has won prizes in several international piano competitions and has performed across the United States, Europe, and Japan, recently making her Carnegie Hall debut.

She studied at Osaka College of Music and later continued her studies in Germany at the University of Music Würzburg with renowned pianist Prof. Bernd Glemser, graduating as valedictorian of her class.

Manami enjoys sharing classical music in intimate concert settings and connecting with audiences through the expressive world of the piano. Her programs often explore colorful works by composers such as Chopin, Beethoven, and Liszt.

Music

Manami performs a wide range of repertoire from the Baroque period to contemporary music. Her programs often include works by composers such as Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, Schumann, and Rachmaninoff, as well as French and American composers like Debussy, Ravel, Gershwin, and Barber.

She enjoys presenting both expressive lyrical pieces and virtuosic works, including selections such as Bach’s English Suites and Partitas, Beethoven sonatas, Chopin ballades and scherzos, Liszt virtuoso repertoire, and Rachmaninoff’s Études-tableaux and Piano Sonata No.2.
