Nicolaus Gelin, a 22-year-old musician and artist from Miami, Florida, has received significant acclaim for his exceptional talents. Between 2017 and 2020, he earned several notable accolades, including the YoungArts Jazz Trumpet award, a Phil Knight award for scoring a short film in collaboration with Rosie Elliot, and selection for the Carnegie Hall NYO 2020 Jazz big band. Recently graduated from the Manhattan School of Music, Nicolaus studied under distinguished mentors such as Ingrid Jensen and Jon Faddis. Notably, he was featured on Kabelo Mokhatla's debut album, "The Key To Authenticity," showcasing his versatility and collaborative spirit. His creative endeavors extend beyond performance; Nicolaus has developed a passion for black-and-white film photography and ventured into visual art since fall 2022. In October 2023, he co-founded the holistic wellness music group and brand "Resonance" with Stephane Clement, which has quickly gained recognition and acclaim.
