I have performed at prestigious Chennai sabhas like Narada Gana Sabha and collaborated extensively with the QFR team under Subashree Thanikachalam. Now based in the U.S., I am an IndianRaga Fellow and a prominent face in the Bay Area music scene. I lead the band On The Raags, where we recently had the honor of opening for the world-renowned Thaikkudam Bridge. In addition to my own band, I collaborate with various Bay Area groups, exploring film and indie music to bridge the gap between classical roots

Music

My music is a vibrant tapestry woven from the deep-rooted traditions of South India and the soulful melodies of the North. My foundation is built on the rigorous Carnatic discipline, shaped by the legendary influences of Lalgudi Jayaram, D.K. Pattammal, and the Alathur Brothers. Complementing this classical rigor is a lifelong love for the Hindustani Ghazal tradition, drawing inspiration from the emotive storytelling of masters like Ghulam Ali, Hariharan, and Jagjit Singh. This blend of technical precision and soulful expression is further colored by the cinematic genius of Ilaiyaraaja and A.R. Rahman, whose innovative compositions have been instrumental in how I approach melody and arrangement in my contemporary and indie projects.
