Host

Hello, and welcome to my fifth Groupmuse!

Please join me for a joyful evening of music by composers who were famous harpsichord players in their own spheres, including: J.S. Bach in Germany; Élisabeth Jacquet de La Guerre in France; G.F. Handel in England; and Domenico Scarlatti in Spain.

All of the music will be performed on a 17th-century Flemish-style replica harpsichord.

What's the music?

Élisabeth Jacquet de La Guerre - Suite in F from Pièces de clavecin (1687)
J.S. Bach - English Suite in F major
- intermission -
G.F. Handel - Suite in A major (1720)
Domenico Scarlatti - Sonatas (various)
