(Free) Planetarymuse Forum: Rebecca Hargrove Joins the Movement!

Mon, December 7 8:30 PM, EST

Let’s celebrate! Join us online for a stirring discussion where we will hear the voice and story of the renaissance extraordinaire, Rebecca L. Hargrove!!

During the recent season, Rebecca L. Hargrove debuted in Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess with the Metropolitan Orchestra and performed with the New York City Center for the gala production of Evita. (http://www.rebeccalhargrove.com/hargrove-bio) As a soprano, actress, and model, Rebecca has championed the portrayal of African Americans and their lived experiences on and off the stage, screen, and camera. And she has been the winner of “distinguished awards from the National Young Arts Foundation, Opera Ebony, The NSAL Shirley Rabb Winston Vocal Competition, and The Ebony Classical Singer's Competition.” (https://www.facebook.com/pg/rhargrov/about/?ref=page_internal)

The Planetarymuse Forum is free. However, donations to support the artist are welcome. Rebecca will receive 100% of the proceeds from the event!

Tell a friend to tell a friend -- you don't want to miss this program!!

{The Planetarymuse Forum is presented by the Groupmuse Foundation’s Planetary Music Movement. This bridge-building endeavor guides Groupmuse to overcome the historical dominance of European ethnocentrism within the classical music tradition, by celebrating historical and contemporary musical traditions of the planet, particularly and imminently through the inclusion and celebration of works by artists of African descent. You can learn more here:https://www.groupmuse.org/.}
