In their first video series, Music in the Times of Crisis, the Aspect Chamber Music Series presents the context for remarkable music in critical times. For this video premier on Groupmuse, Michael Parloff (principal flute @metopera until his 2008 retirement) sets the stage for Stravinsky’s “The Soldier’s Tale”, composed at the time of the Spanish Flu (1918).
