POSTPONING: NEW TENTATIVE DATE 17 MAY 2025, Saturday 7:30pm: Ralitza Patcheva, Piano, and Sam Post, Piano & Compositions, have recently recorded the Well-Tempered Clavier but in an updated rhythmical version. Their concert last fall at Catholic University was featured on WETA's "Front Row Washington," once with the Bach, and once with Mr. Post's own music. We play a slightly different version of the program each time. Mr. Post is associated with Levine Conservatory and recently participated in a Composition Master Class, also a member of the widely popular Kassia sextet, chamber ensemble. EXPECTING 20-30 PAID ATTENDEES.

Program: In two sets this performance will feature solo's by each, and at least on four hands performance by both. This is the 81st SOLOX concert at the Red Lantern at Milo, since 2010, and the 32nd with GroupMuse.

Light PotLuck Dinner Buffet. Host will provide two hot hors d'oeuvres & punch for potluck reception during intermission & beginning, when doors open. Guests are welcome to bring food and wine to share as well; if considering a sweet, think about fruit instead of processed sugar. Music begins at 30 minutes after doors open, please be on time, 2 sets with 1 short intermission, rarely one longer set. Guests most welcome and encouraged to bring dish/drink to share/potluck, please consider bringing wine if you use it. Stemware/Ice Buckets/Filtered Water Provided.

What's the music?

Exact program TBD

Where does this music come from?

In our joint concerts we put a new spin on the music of Bach and the Baroque style by rewriting the rhythms and pairing with original music in the Neo-Baroque style.
