What's the music?
We will be playing Jazz Standards from the Great American Song Book and beyond, ranging from classics by composers like Cole Porter and Richard Rodgers to more adventurous and modern music by Be-Bop era musicians such as Thelonious Monk. In the spirit of jazz we will be looking backwards and honoring the tradition while at the same time experimenting with new sounds and exploring new musical ideas through improvisation.
