We have a wonderful program for this evening of solo piano music with musician orisiya Yosifova will perform compositions by by Eastern European composers, such as Dora Pejacevic, Bartok and others.

Will open at 6:30 and concert will begin at 7 PM. We will also have tables set up for a potluck if people want to hang out after and have drinks and a meal together.

If you want to stay for the potluck, please bring something to share, a place setting (camping for fancy, whatever you prefer). We will have tables, tea (bring your own cup) and bring items for the potluck.

The venue is a historic SF building originally built as a church and has been a center for Polish Community since 1926 and hosts variety of community groups from daycare, Scottish dancer, Blues, Mission swing, and others. The club’s mission is to serve as a center for the propagation of Polish culture, art, language, and community.

There is bicycle parking on the street in front of the club. There are two parking garages nearby. California parking on Mission between 19th and 20th and Mission Bartlett garage on 21st between Mission and Valencia. 24th St.,, Bart Station is also with a short walking distance. Folsom Street, Mission Street buses on nearby.

What's the music?

I will be exploring compositions by Eastern European composers, such as Dora Pejacevic, Bartok and others. More details TBD.

Where does this music come from?

I am an immigrant who was born in Bulgaria. There are many wonderful compositions from that region that are not performed often, and part of my mission as a musician is to bring them to life and teach my audiences why and how these works are memorable and worthy of performing.
