We are excited to host a small event ahead of people's NYE celebrations, assuming we can find a musician that is kind enough to support! Come and join in for some music and wine, leaving you guys time to run off to catch your late night 2024 transition!

Beautiful and expressive pieces by Johannes Schenck and Carl Friedrich Abel, and eighteenth century transcriptions of selections from Anacreon, the third act of Jean Philippe Rameau's Les Surprise de L'Amour, and one more favorite TBA.
Where does this music come from?
Rarely heard gems for the viola da gamba, the “king” of string instruments throughout Europe until around 1750.
The music of the eighteenth and seventeenth centuries, and a little into the sixteenth century was so rich with variety and color that we have chosen various styles and nationalities of composers from England, to Italy, Germany, France and the Netherlands, from canonic and contrapuntal music to fanciful programatic operatic and dance music. And the viola da gamba was the supreme instrument for expression and virtuosity during those centuries.
