Daria Vasileva: Between Dreams and Passions
Gotham Arts in collaboration with Groupmuse is delighted to host an intimate solo recital by pianist Daria Vasileva exploring the evocative and sensual world of late Romantic piano music in a program of works by Liszt, Rachmaninoff, Pabst, Medtner, and Scriabin.
In exploring pianistically the world between dreams and passions, Daria seeks to cultivate a uniquely close and expressive interpretive bond between performer and audience. This performance, which is her NYC debut, is absolutely not to be missed.

About Daria Vasileva

Daria Vasileva is a passionate concert pianist and project author who inspires audiences and over 80,000 social media followers united by their love for classical music. Her artistic mission centers on popularizing the works of Alexander Scriabin, whose visionary and emotional music perfectly reflects her expressive character and bold artistic spirit.
Daria received her classical training at the Kazan Conservatory, one of Russia’s leading music institutions, where she developed as a concert performer, ensemble artist, accompanist, and teacher. After graduation and success in several international competitions, including winning the Smetana International Piano Competition in the Czech Republic, she was awarded an ESKAS grant from the Swiss government to study at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Lucerne.
Under the mentorship of Professor Benjamin Moser, Daria’s fascination with Scriabin’s music deepened, shaping the core of her artistic identity. In 2024, she received Second Prize and the Special Scriabin Prize at the Scriabin International Piano Competition in Italy. She also won Second Prize and the Malaga Symphony Orchestra Prize at the Campillos International Piano Competition in Spain.
Continuing her international career, Daria remains devoted to sharing Scriabin’s legacy through concerts and recordings. In 2026, she will release her debut album dedicated to Alexander Scriabin with the French label Aparté, marking a significant milestone in her artistic journey.
