A live concert in a living room, backyard, or another intimate space. They're casual and friendly, hosted by community members.

Host

Please join me for an afternoon of music in my living room as I host Ayaan Ahmad, a violinist from Sharon MA who is currently enrolled in a five-year dual degree program at Harvard University and the New England Conservatory of Music. I first heard Ayaan perform a little more than a year ago and was very moved by his playing. His program (which may change slightly) will include works from various musical periods that will showcase his talent.

Please arrive at about 3 pm to for nosh and conversation before (and after) Ayaan's performance, which will begin at about 3:30 and last for approximately one hour.

What's the music?

  1. Johann Sebastian Bach: Sonata No. 3 in C major for Solo Violin, BWV 1005
  2. Fritz Kreisler: Recitativo and Scherzo-Caprice, Op. 6
  3. Reena Esmail: "Darshan" for Solo Violin
  4. Niccolò Paganini: Caprice No. 24 in A minor for Solo Violin, Op. 1
