Hi there!
I'm hosting my 7th house concert in Santa Fe (and 55th overall!), and for this special occasion I'm thrilled to welcome back New York-based pianist and Ravel specialist Kessa Mefford who was extremely well received last year. It went so well, Kessa has organized another trip to the area and will be back with a new program around the theme of water music. Let's hope it will inspire our lands. Doors open/guest arrival begins at 6:30pm with music to begin around 7pm. The event should conclude around 8:30pm. I'll provide light snacks and non-alcoholic drinks; feel free to BYOB. We'll take up a collection of at least $20 per person which I'll speak to at the event, and 100% of the proceeds will go to the musician. I hope to see you there!

What's the music?
This program idea was born pondering a Ravel inspired program, knowing that he wrote three water-themed pieces for solo piano. From there, the rest of the program sprung forth. Enjoy a program exploring all of the different forms water music for solo piano can take: still waters, tumultuous waters, lakes and oceans, sailors and boats, and of course Ravel’s Ondine, the water spirit.
