Award-winning NY pianist specializing in the music of Maurice Ravel. The only pianist to ever perform the complete art songs of Ravel at Carnegie Hall in a program titled “Ravel: All of It.” Founder of Whimsical Birdsong, the concert series focused on presenting the complete works of Ravel that include piano.

Music

I usually play post-romantic works in the classical genre, most frequently the music by Maurice Ravel, but I also enjoy music by Ginastera, Prokofiev, Shostakovich, Glass, and other more modern composers. However, I occasionally visit the music of Bach, Mozart, and Schubert.

The “Ravel: All of It” program specifically is done with a single singer, soprano Kristina Cook, but I also play plenty of solo repertoire by Ravel and various composers, always with thoughtful, complimentary programming.
