Mosa Tsay Cello
Alberto Bietti Piano

Mosa and Alberto first performed a groupmuse at Connie's last April, but they now return to the Bay Area from NYC and France, respectively, to perform an all-Chopin groupmuse:

===Frédéric Chopin===
...Cello Sonata, Op. 65 (1846)
I. Allegro moderato
II. Scherzo
III. Largo
IV. Finale. Allegro

And then a few pieces that are each under 6 minutes!

...Prelude, Op. 28 No. 6 (arranged for cello and piano by Georg Goltermann)
...Nocturne, Op.72 No. 1 (arr. Leopold Auer)
...Nocturne in C-sharp minor, B.49 (arr. Gregor Piatigorsksy)

...Mazurka, Op. 50 No. 3 in C# minor
...Mazurka, Op. 59 No. 3 in F# minor
...Mazurka Op. 68 No. 4 in F minor

Thanks so very much Connie for hosting this, and thanks to all the guests who collectively made the ambiance so excellent. I look forward to hearing this duo for many years to come, and know that when Mosa is reunited with her own cello and the two of them have a bit more leisure, they will give us even more wonderful music. Loved getting my exercise with those chairs too!

Already back in NYC, but thank you all for joining us on Saturday! Though it is cold with the storm here, my heart is warm with Chopin. Thank you Connie for hosting yet another wonderful evening!
