Come join us for an early evening Massivemuse at Monument right after work!
Doors at 6pm. Music at 6:30pm.
Take this rare opportunity to enjoy Brahms' gorgeous and transcendent clarinet quintet! One of his last pieces published, the quintet is a challenging work, and we're lucky to have an all-star cast of Bay Area musicians to share it with us.
We'll try to wrap up by 8pm for those with dinner plans, and everyone else can join us for a drink nearby.
What's the music?

The performance was worthy of the music, which is one of the greatest pieces of 19th C chamber music ever composed. The crowd was a surprise to me. I attend lots of "classical music' concerts in lots of venues. This was a different crowd, mostly 20s and 30s in age, way younger than my normal aisle-mates. I was surely teh oldest dude there at 75, but I was thrilled by be among my peers (of 40 years ago) again. I was comfy. I'll show up again.

Great musicians, great piece, great crowd, great time... This initiatives and spaces are a very important piece of this XXI re-evolutionary classical music movement

It was an incredible first time experience for my friend and I! We absolutely loved it and can't wait to attend future groupmuse concerts. This is a wonderful idea that connects our artists to the crazy busy city world. A fantastic idea that I hope will continue for years to come :)
