Welcome to my arts filled home out Mass. Ave near Glen Echo Park. There are 4-6 professional concerts every year here, mostly chamber music, some jazz (Ellington, Monk). Most involve Piano, but my Steinway B 1893 is currently undegoing complete restoration to original condition, back in May 2018.

What's the music?

Kassia Music string quartet

Carl Nielsen - String Quartet #4 Opus 44 (1906)
Allegro non tanto e comodo
Adagio con sentimento religioso
Allegretto moderato ed innocente
Finale. Molto Adagio – Allegro non tanto, ma molto scherzoso

Sam Post – Kazakh Sketches (2016)
Silky - Moderate, sweet & sincere
Dear One - Brisk and rhythmic
White Birch - Slow and contemplative, with meditative intensity
Inspiration - Swift and somewhat light; with spirit
Morning Star - Fast and with relentless energy

5 pm Bernard Vallandingham String Quartet -- Program to Follow

I have heard Bernard Vallandingham play twice at GroupMuse events, once in the fine quartet he leads, and for which he composes; and, once with the Pianist Sam Post, and each of these were memorable performances. Musica Viva (Carl Banner) performs here regularly about 3 times per year. Ben Redwine, Tim Ford, John Preveti have done two Jazz performances (Monk, Ellington), Haskell Small is an occasional performer, and there have been fund raisers for Int'l Chamber Orchestra of DC, and ISIS here at Milo; also pianists Chris Schmidt and Ali Mustaq.
