The Celebrity Series Presents: Quatuor Mosaïques - A Groupmuse Night Out

Boston punches above its weight. Everyone here knows that although we're only a medium-sized city, we boast many of the country's greatest arts institutions. And when a cultural superstar is on tour, they almost always make a stop in Boston, and that is in large part due to the Celebrity Series - an organization that for almost 80 years has ensured that Bostonians get the chance to experience the leading lights of the performing arts world.

So it's with great pride and humility that we announce our first-ever Groupmuse Night Out with the Celebrity Series of Boston.

On Saturday, October 14th, we're being welcomed into Jordan Hall - truly a crowing jewel in our nation's array of concert halls - for an evening with Quatuor Mosaïques -- the most prominent period-instrument quartet performing today. If this sounds like too many superlatives to handle, welcome to Boston.

They'll be performing three masterworks - two string quartets by Mozart, both dedicated to Joseph Haydn, and then one quartet by Papa Haydn himself.

Tickets are typically on average $50 or more, but because fortune smiles upon Groupmuse, we've got a stack for only $20, which is really insane when you think about the idea of three of Western history's greatest masterpieces, being performed by some of the world's top artists, in what's widely considered one of the most acoustically perfect concert halls on Earth, no?
