Really excited to be hosting my third groupmuse.
This time we're lucky to have Georgy Gusev play Cello for us.
He will be fresh on the heels of a show at Carnegie Hall which he will play two days before on February 2nd. (https://www.carnegiehall.org/calendar/2018/02/02/georgy-gusev-brigitte-armenier-gabrielle-armenier-elissa-cassini-0800pm)
What's the music?
Dear New Yorkers,
I'm very excited and gratefull to be a part of this event hosted by Sean.
This is my first time in East Coast and my ever first time in NY. And right after my Carnegie debut as a cellist and composer I would love to share with you some of my favorite works for Solo Cello from 17th to 21st century.
Program:
Part I (30' min.)
J.S.Bach - Extracts from Suites for Solo Cello
Jean Sibelius - Theme and Variations for Cello
intermission
Part II (30' min.)
Giovanni Sollima - Pieces for Cello
Georgy Gusev - 'Traveler's Diary' (book of pieces for Cello)
Looking forward to seeing you soon!
Georgy
