The Celebrity Series of Boston, with its undying commitment to bring the best and the brightest cultural figures through our great city, has for the last few years dramatically upped the ante with its week-long festival it calls Stave Sessions. With the Stave Sessions, The Celebrity Series seeks to cultivate the very vanguard of the performing arts world, while it bolsters the cultural scene city-wide.

And the Celebrity Series, aces that they are, want Groupmuse to come along. On Friday, March 23rd at 8pm, * they’ve got a double header, featuring leading new music hero Claire Chase, playing new works from her Density 2036 solo flute commissioning project, followed by My Brightest Diamond, headed by chamber pop multi-instrumentalist visionary Shara Nova, who’s collaborated with everyone from Sufjan Stevens to David Byrne.

It’ll be an evening that blends and bends genres and stakes a bold claim on what Art Music is in our century, and its all going down in the glorious new performance space at Berklee’s 160 Mass Ave.

Typically, tickets run $35, but it’s Groupmuse after all, so you’ll get yours of $20 - but the supply is limited, so hustle!
