Young Concert Artists is the business of cultivating the next generation of virtuosi who will carry forth this art form into our century, ensuring it a brilliant place in our present. Lucky for DC, they always bring their artists through the Kennedy Center, and lucky for us, YCA wants Groupmuse to come along, and so, next Monday night, that's exactly what we'll do.

Dasol Kim, is, for lack of a better pun, Dasoling (to be pronounced "dazzling"). He's won prizes galore, and, not even 30, has played with some of the world's great orchestras. But pedigree aside, the program he's prepared for us on Monday Night at the Kennedy Center is a jaw dropper and will beautifully display this rising star's depth and virtuosity--

He'll start with two works by Chopin - a Ballad and a Scherzo. He'll follow those oil paintings of piano sound with the no-less profound watercolors of Maurice Ravel: his Gaspard de la Nuit. The second half of the program will be the entirety of Franz Schubert's heavenly last piano sonata: his B flat, probably the single favorite piano piece by the humble promoter who's writing these words right now.

What's more: YCA is throwing a free drink in with every ticket, so feel free to come as much as an hour early to the bar right outside the Terrace Theater to hang with your fellow muser, and to meet our newest team member, DC's community manager, Will Wheeler!

Tickets to this evening are $45 at the box office, but because it's Groupmuse, we've scored a stack for $20 -- with a free drink thrown in! Who loves you?!

These sold out last time, so don't hesitate!

PS
We really want Will, our new community manager, to hit the ground running here in DC to take this great city to the next level, and that means we want him at a lot of groupmuses, building grass-roots momentum one living room at a time. So! As a special offer: If you get a groupmuse on the calendar within the next week, we'll give you two free tickets to this show at the Kennedy Center!

What's the music?
