This week, our beloved Mostly Mozart Festival continues charging forth, illuminating our great city with the richness of centuries old musical genius in these otherwise culturally fallow summer months. Last week, they brought us along to Lincoln Center for a sold-out double header, and this week, they want to do it again!

But whereas this past week, The Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra was hailing the heroes of Baroque, this week, it’ll be nothing but the musical miracle for which Mostly Mozart is named — ol’ Wolfgang Amadeus himself!

Christian Zacharias conducts the Festival Orchestra from the piano, opening the program with Mozart’s Olympian Piano Concerto No. 25 in C Major. Then celebrated soprano Rosa Feola walks before the orchestra to share two glorious Mozart arias. The program concludes with Mozart’s irrepressible Prague Symphony — his 38th.

And those who can make the pre-concert recital at 6.30 (which, like the main performance, will be in David Geffen Hall) will be treated to a performance of Mozart’s beloved Kegelstatt Trio, for viola, clarinet, and piano — it’s included with the ticket.

The wonderful people at Mostly Mozart are offering us limited stacks for two nights:

Friday, August 3rd.

Saturday, August 4th.

The average cost of these tickets is $65 a pop, but we’ve got a more than half-off stack for $25 (and $20 for supermsuers) and if the past is any kind of teacher, these will fly, so grab them now if you want to join!

And have an amazing Night Out!
