Musician(s): The Ecco Chamber Ensemble—soprano Stacey Mastrian, flutist Sarah Bassingthwaighte, and classical guitarist Mark Hilliard Wilson—works to build concerts around the intersection of art and social change. Our focus is on programming classical music from all over the world and from different periods that sheds light on issues of our time—including homelessness, environmental problems, violence, our interaction with technology, and music's profound impact on our education and on our well-being—and provokes us to consider our common humanity. We came together in the summer of 2016, and as performers and teachers we have been across the U.S. and in Canada, England, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Russia, and Spain.
Ample parking is available. Take I-5 to 18 E. Once on 18 E take the Weyerhaeuser Way S exit and turn Right. Continue onto S 349th St which becomes 28th Ave S after a slight left (1 mile). Turn left onto S 360th St. Go .3 miles and Turn right onto 32nd Ave S which becomes S 369th Pl after 400ft turn left onto 34th Ave S. Our house is hidden down a short gravel driveway off of 34th Ave S and there are 6 steps down to the front door. Busing to this location is not recommended but is possible.
Attendees will be asked to make a donation (minimum $10) all of which goes to the musicians. Please bring any drinks and snacks you'd like to share.
Note: Please do not arrive early unless you have a special need and have communicated with me. Both hosts and musicians require preparation and set up time. The start time (7:30) means that is the time you should arrive, and you can expect the program will start slightly later. Thanks for your consideration.
I've performed in several groupmuse events myself and wanted to share my passion with the community. I have a large living room with a great view of Five Mile Lake
