This is a groupmuse

A live concert in a living room, backyard, or another intimate space. They're casual and friendly, hosted by community members.

Host

Join me at my inaugural Groupmuse, where I'm excited to host the acclaimed Spire Duo (Emma Rose Lynn, soprano, and Andrew Pham, piano) as they present "Her Light Escape", a program of poetry and music that mirrors the cyclical nature of the changing seasons.

This is the second of two opportunities to see Spire Duo in Seattle. Enjoy a Saturday afternoon of art songs in an intimate setting!

We begin our journey with the changing colors and falling leaves of autumn, venture through the episodic slumps of the winter, rejoice in the burgeoning of new life in the spring, and arrive in the welcome quietude of a warm summer, reflecting on both sentimental moments of the past as well as life's present beauty. The words of master poets such as Emily Dickinson, W. H. Auden, and Robert Louis Stevenson capture the joy, dejection, wonder, and renewal of a year in a life well-lived through the music of composers such as Benjamin Britten, André Previn, Dominick Argento, and more.
