    A month ago, we had a sold-out Night Out with the legendary San Francisco Symphony. Our crowd loved it, and, lucky for us, SFS loved us right back, because here I am with another glorious SFS Night Out Offering!

    It’s back to the splendid Davies Symphony Hall to bear witness to forces that the past cannot contain:

    We start with J.S. Bach’s electrifying 2nd Violin Concerto. Thankfully, there’s been a lot of Bach coming through these parts, but somehow still no where near enough. SFS’s concertmaster, the great Alexander Barantschik, leads the band on the violin.

    Then, for something completely different: Shostakovich and his 8th Symphony, a harrowing, towering monument to his wartime years in the USSR. If you haven’t experienced a Shosti symphony yet, prepare for transformation.

    These tickets typically average $75 — but the SFS are incredible folks, and they’ve given us a stack for a mere $25 - two thirds off! But last time these sold out, so boogie on this one!
