Skyla is currently attending Mannes College the New School for Music for her Masters. She is a graduate of Adelphi University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Performance for Harp. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and received the Senior Music Award. Throughout her four years of college, she performed in the Adelphi University Symphony Orchestra, was a member of the Adelphi Jazz Ensemble, and performed in the Chamber Ensemble. She was a soprano in the Adelphi Chorus. Skyla was hired to perform at Adelphi Open Houses, Reception Brunches, and Administrative Dinners. She is a member of the American Harp Society.

At Adelphi, Skyla received the Dean's Talent Scholarship, the Recognition Award, and the Jephson Grant. She played with the Long Island Youth Orchestra and was in the LIU Post Chamber Festival. She performed in multiple chamber groups during the Festival; she was the soloist with the Chamber Orchestra in the Summer of 2013 when they performed the first movement of the Handel Harp Concerto in B-Flat Major.

Skyla has been playing harp for 12 years and is currently performing in orchestras, at weddings, and at other special occasions. She is now currently performing with the Mannes Orchestra at Alice Tully Hall and Tishman Concert Hall.
