About

Amber won New York Shinning Star International Competition directed by New York Sinfonietta with her trio and gave their Carnegie hall debut in May, 2015. Amber won the First Prize at 2010 Taipei Music Competition and Excellence Award in 2011 National Cello Competition in Taiwan. Amber was the principal cellist in Taipei Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, and performed in the National Concert Hall every seasons in Taiwan. In 2015 and 2016, Amber was invited to perform in Taipei Economic and Cultural Office and gained many media coverage. Later, she was also invited to perform in United Nations Non-Government Organization 70th Anniversary Concert. Amber has performed in many prestigious venues, including Boston Symphony Hall, Merkin Concert Hall, Carnegie Hall, Rockwood Music Hall, Garth Newel Music Center, etc.

As a chamber musician, in 2013, Amber attended Walnut hill music Festival in Massachusetts with merit-based scholarship, studying with Thomas Hill and Sam Ou. In 2014 June, Amber was invited to the Renova chamber music festival in Pennsylvania, studying with Lynn Kabat. 2014 July, Amber was awarded to Garth Newel Young Artist Fellowship program in Virginia and she was awarded again to Garth Newel in 2015. Amber received the full scholarship from Soochow University in Taiwan and hold the Master's degree from Boston University with scholarship under the studio of Rhonda Rider. Amber regularly engages in Groupmuse house concerts and other intimate venues all over New York City.
