I studied cello with Darrett Adkins at the Oberlin Conservatory and the Juilliard School from 2009-15. I then began my studies with Joel Krosnick at Juilliard for the second year of my masters. I have spent my summers studying at several festivals including the Aspen Music Festival and School, The Banff Center Master Classes for Strings and Winds program, and the Kneisel Hall Chamber Music School and Festival. During my three summers at Kneisel, I became increasingly consumed with a love for playing string quartets. Equally passionate about composing, I will begin my Ph.D. in composition this fall at the CUNY Graduate Center in Manhattan. Nonetheless, I hope to find a number of opportunities for serious music making in the near future.

As a soloist, I have played in master classes and lessons for a number of cellists including Steven Isserlis, Frans Helmerson, Colin Carr, Norman Fischer, and Andrés Díaz. In October 2013, I was selected as a winner of the Oberlin Senior Concerto Competition, and subsequently performed Ernest Bloch’s Schelomo with the Oberlin Chamber Orchestra in April, 2014. In December 2015, I gave my masters degree recital at the Juilliard School, performing works by Carter, Bach, and Brahms.
