Combining two lifetimes of commitment to craft, technique, and stylistic integrity, Scroggins & Rose create creative contemporary roots music with the expression and detail of classical music, the ebullient drive of fiddle music, and the thrilling virtuosity of both traditions. Recently the duo was awarded the Freshgrass Album Fund for their album, Curios.

Scroggins & Rose is Nashville based mandolinist Tristan Scroggins who frequently plays on the Grand Ol’ Opry and who was awarded the prestigious Instrumentalist of the Year Momentum Award by the International Bluegrass Music Association in 2017 and Bay Area violinist Alisa Rose who was grammy nominated for her work with Quartet San Francisco, has served as an ambassador of the State Department with the Real Vocal String Quartet and who teaches at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
