About

Tristan Siegel, 22, is a violinist from Tenafly, New Jersey. Tristan has attended many prestigious music festivals including Sarasota Music Festival (‘18), Music Academy of the West (‘16, ‘17), Roundtop Festival Institute (‘15) and the New York String Orchestra Seminar (‘14, ‘15). Tristan has also participated and won numerous competitions notably the 2013 American Protégé International Competition, 2013 Sinfonietta Nova Concerto Competition, 2014 Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey Concerto competition, and as a laureate of the 2016 Stulberg International String Competition. As an active chamber musician, Tristan made his Carnegie Hall Debut in 2012 with the MSM Precollege Piano Trio and Alice Tully Hall Debut in 2014 with the THS Clarinet Trio.
Tristan graduated from Indiana University with a BA in Chinese and a BM in Violin Performance studying under the tutelage of Alex Kerr. He previously studied with Elizabeth Faidley in the Precollege Division of the Manhattan School of Music Precollege.
He is currently pursuing a Performer’s Diploma from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University.
In his free time, Tristan enjoys playing soccer and cooking.
