About

Hi! I'm a Philadelphia-based soprano who sings around the city quite a bit. I am a co-founder of Prismatic Arts Ensemble and have also worked with many of the area's opera companies. I am passionate about the healing and storytelling aspects that music brings to both it's performers and listeners and hope to share the special (and often transformative) experience of live performance with as many people as possible!

Music

My repertoire spans from Bel Canto opera (Mozart, Donizetti, etc.) to Musical Theatre and folk music. I also love art song of all eras (Classical, romantic, contemporary), as it's composed for much more intimate spaces, and it's usually what I choose to program for concerts. I also have a special love of contemporary classical composers, and have premiered a number of new compositions.
Lately, for my recital repertoire I always aim to have a set by a Caribbean/Latin American composer, as a way of exploring my Puerto Rican heritage and of exposing audiences to music that has not been regularly performed. I also like to have a theme for my recital programs to help tie the music together thematically/narratively. I have programs of pieces about Ophelia, programs from Slavic composers, programs exploring the depictions of womanhood in classical music, etc. If you have an idea of your own, let's collaborate!
