About

Shaina Pan is a violinist, multi-instrumentalist, and composer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. A versatile collaborator, Shaina enjoys performing, recording, and touring in a variety of genres.

As an orchestral and chamber musician, Shaina has performed across North America and Europe with ensembles such as the The Orchestra Now, Lucerne Festival Contemporary Orchestra, Aspen Festival Orchestra, Atlantic Music Festival Contemporary Ensemble, and the San Francisco Contemporary Music Players. An advocate for music by living composers, Shaina has premiered dozens of new works, collaborating with artists such as Meredith Monk, Augusta Read Thomas, Kate Soper, Ken Ueno, Terry Riley, and the Kronos Quartet, among others.

Shaina earned her Master of Music degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Indiana University.
