About
Jihee Kim, Soprano
Korean soprano Jihee Kim began her musical journey at the age of sixteen. After moving to the United States, she earned an Artist Diploma from the Yale School of Music and joined the Metropolitan Opera in New York, where she has performed for nearly a decade.
Throughout her career, Jihee has appeared in opera houses and concert venues across North America, Europe, Asia, and South America. Her notable performances include Mimì in La Bohème, Violetta in La Traviata, and the title role of Murasame in the contemporary opera Matsukaze, which she performed in the United States, Germany, and Hong Kong.
In addition to her operatic work, Jihee is passionate about creating intimate concert experiences that bring audiences and artists together through storytelling and shared human experiences. Nuit d’étoiles reflects this vision—a personal musical memoir shaped by the songs, memories, and moments that have accompanied her throughout her life and artistic journey.
Music
I sing classical repertoire (opera, art songs, oratorios, etc) but I love to sing contemporary music as well!
