About

I am an Italian classical guitarist and musicologist based in NYC. The passion for music developed early in my life and brought me to deepen my studies in both performance and the theoretical aspects of music. I hold a Guitar Diploma from the Conservatory of Bologna and Ph.D in musicology from the University of Rome. I perform as a soloist and in ensembles, in the USA and Italy. I am currently half of the Katty Mayorga-Isabella Abbonizio Guitar Duo. I am also an active music educator and founded my own guitar school, DalMaestro, for online and in presence lessons www.dalmaestro.com. I am co-founder of an international guitar festival in Italy, Lanciano International Guitar Seminar www.lancianoguitar.com.
My mission is to disseminate the culture of art music and the importance of live performances!
