About

A native of San Francisco, cellist Alex Winter began his musical endeavors in Davis at the age of 8. He earned a bachelor's degree in cello performance from California State University, Sacramento, and a master’s at Florida State University. During his studies he won scholarships and awards in chamber music, historical performance, and solo performance. He has performed chamber music at festivals in California, Oregon, New York, and Vermont. Currently Alex is a freelance orchestral musician and teaches cello in the Bay Area.
