About

Beth Sussman received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees at the age of twenty one from The Juilliard School where she was on full scholarship. She has performed throughout North America and Europe.

Beth is a favorite performer at museums, libraries and schools and is known for her engaging programs that include both light classical and jazz standards along with lively and humorous remarks that introduce each selection.

She is the first and only classical pianist on the “Music Center On Tour” roster. As such, she performs throughout Southern California introducing school children to classical music in a fun and engaging way under the auspices of the Los Angeles Music Center (Disney Hall/Chandler Pavilion/Ahmanson Theatre, etc). She is also a Teaching Artist with the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. A television pilot loosely based on her life was executive produced by Kelsey Grammer for Paramount Pictures Television for NBC.

Music

Classical and jazz standards. I often do programs with a theme for example:
Music by and about Women
Music by Black Composers (classical and jazz including Scott Joplin, Nathaniel Dett, Duke Ellington, Fats Waller), All Gershwin, etc.
