I was born and raised in Hamburg, Germany, moved to the US for my undergrad and have called the East Coast my musical home ever since. I have placed in several prestigious piano competitions, such as the Liszt Competition Budapest, the Premio Jaen, and the Juilliard School Concerto Competition. The repertoire of Franz Lisze is particularly close to my heart and I regard him as one of the most influential musicians in all of history. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I have focused my attention on teaching and am currently on the music theory faculty at Juilliard and a piano teacher on Virtu Academy. Simultaneously, I am writing my dissertation on the piano music of Mieczyslaw Weinberg.

I specialize in Classical and late-Romantic piano repertoire, but have also premiered numerous contemporary pieces. If I were to name the three composers I most identified with, they would be Haydn, Liszt, and Grieg.
