Vieness Piano Duo has enthralled audiences in their electric and captivating performances of a wide range of repertoire. Their intuition for conversation coupled with a commanding stage presence has made them regularly in demand throughout the world.

Vijay Venkatesh and Eva Schaumkell together have performed over 50 recitals last season such as the Summer Stars Series (NJ), InConcert Series, the Trinity Concert Series, the Music Guild, Le Salon de Musiques at Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Camerata Musica (WA), Grand Piano Series (FL), Lancaster Performing Arts Center (CA), L'ermitage Foundation (CA), Sarasota Artists Series (FL), Second City Chamber Series (WA), Tassel Performing Arts Center (NE), Steamboat Opera (CO), Vicente Chamber Orchestra, Waring Gala, as well as a 3-week tour of the Midwest and concerts in Germany. They recently made their duo-debut at SOKA Performing Arts Center as soloists with the South Coast Symphony under the baton of Barry Silverman.

Music

Our versatile repertoire spans from baroque through the 20th century, to contemporary music including premieres of pieces commissioned for us. We love to explore original piano duo repertoire as well as transcriptions, for 1 piano/4 hands and on 2 pianos.
