Jackson Howard



Jackson is an active orchestral and solo musician, having performed in Canada, the USA, and Germany. He has performed with orchestras such as the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Conservatory Orchestra, and Orchestra Toronto. Solo engagements have included performances alongside the Fraser Valley Symphony, the Chilliwack Metropolitan Orchestra, and the Vancouver Youth Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed solo recitals in BC and Ontario. Jackson is an Alumnus of the Glenn Gould School of Music, where he was a recipient of the Ihnatowycz Emerging Artists Scholarship.


My solo repertoire consists of the standard trombone repertoire, works of Canadian composers, and works from the vocal repertoire.
Examples include: Grondahl - Concerto for Trombone, David - Concertino for Trombone, Sulek - Sonata for Trombone and Piano, Kulesha - Sonata for Trombone, Raum - Fantasy for Trombone, Barber - Hermit Songs, William Grant Still - Songs of Separation
