About

Violinist Filip Pogády has been praised by the press for the “beauty of his tone”, “lightning-like virtuosity” (Russkoe Slovo) and his “commanding performances” (The New York Times). He has graced prestigious venues worldwide, including Lincoln Center, Rudolphinum Prague, Konzerthaus Vienna, Kamakura Arts Center, Natori Arts Center, Lotte Hall (Seoul), and Seoul Arts Center, among others.

Pogády's journey began with a solo debut at Vienna's Wiener Konzerthaus at age 11, following his victory in the Tsusuki Violin Competition. He's a three-time first-prize winner at Austria's "Prima La Musica" competition, earning additional recognition from the Austrian String Society and Raiffeisen Bank.

His dedication led him to earn a Master’s Degree in Violin Performance under Maestro Pinchas Zukerman's mentorship at the Manhattan School of Music, where he received a full scholarship.

Pogady resides in New York City.
