About

This is a "jazz-adjacent" acoustic band comprised of tenor saxophone, trumpet, double bass and drums (and occasionally vocals). For us, this group acts as a vehicle for paying tribute to adventurous improvisers of the past, and to explore any new land we may find along the way. Each member has been involved in deep study of improvisation and composition, and the format of this group allows that nuance and originality to shine through.

Music

Our repertoire focuses around fresh, forward-looking, original compositions and creative adaptations of songs from our musical heroes of all idioms. Influences are wide ranging, but to name a few - Jimi Hendrix, Kieth Jarrett, Minnie Ripperton, Nick Drake, Nirvanna, Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins, Nina Simone, among many others.
