Welcome to my livestream Groupmuse! I'm excited to share a program of old and new music with you. The first half of the program will feature the familiar Bach cello suite no. 1 in G Major, then the second half will explore works that are likely unfamiliar -- Tcherepnine's suite for solo cello, Corigliano's "The Food of Love," and Sollima's "Lamentatio." I'll be joined by my wife Chelsea on oboe for "The Food of Love!"

Seth - I thoroughly enjoyed what, unfortuately, has been my one and only GroupMuse experience, thus far. I was enthralled by both your adventurous program, your technical wizardry and your sublime musicianship. And it was a treat to have the regrettably too-unusual cello-oboe pairing.

And at least as stimulating, informative, and provocative - particularly for an aspiring cellist like myself - was the virtually-private Q and A session afterward. You both came across as so thoughtful and candid - a much-needed balm for this cynical heart!

One (comparatively) minor thing: I have gotten no "receipt" - or any other acknowledgement, for that matter - for what I thoughts was a pretty generous contribution. And given how it has shown up on my credit card statement, i.e.

I'm a little bit concerned. Did that contribution actually make it to you?!

Hi Douglas! Thank you so much for your thoughtful and insightful review. I love that I was able to provide you with your first Groupmuse experience and that you enjoyed it! I'm planning more in the near future -- probably late August.

As for donations, they are all anonymous to me! But I'm sure yours went through. If you want to make sure, perhaps Phillip our MC could help you on that end. Thank you for your generosity!
