Join us on Sunday, March the 13th, at 3 pm (NY) for an unforgettable musical journey of the concert for peace "Casta Diva", as soprano Natalia Pavlova, flutist Claudia Cinini and organist Alessandra Ciccaglioni will draw you into a world of sacred vocal and organ music from Italian yearly music, baroque, classical and romantic music, to the 20th century.
In the program there is rares Italian arias by Caccini, as well us music of Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart, Verdi, Iraida Yusupova, Saint-Saens and famous Bellini's aria "Casta Diva".
"Oh Goddess, spread on earth the same Peace,
that make you make reign in heaven..." - sings Norma, and this is a principal message of our concert...
This performance will be broadcast in full HD resolution from the beautiful historical Church of St. Alphonsus Liguori in the center of Rome—a titular church dedicated to cardinal priest St. Alfonso, it is one of the rare examples of neo-Gothic architecture and one of the last papal churches in Rome. Below the mosaic hangs the icon of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, known throughout the world, which was produced in Crete in the 14th century
