Join us in Palo Alto's Crescent Park neighborhood, in the beautiful building of the Adventist Church, for an evening of amazing music. A Study in Strings is a string quartet with an unusual twist - instead of a second violin they include an acoustic guitar for a fresh take on the classics.
Doors will open 6:30pm for socializing, and music will begin at 7:00pm.
What can violins, violas, cellos and guitars do? The answer is a surprising look at the dynamic sounds of a group of diverse performers who reimagine the sound of classical chamber music. While honoring the sounds and techniques of the past, a study in strings pushes forward without delving into the world of atonal nonsense. Melody, rhythm, and the soaring sounds of strings are the bread and butter of this group without trotting out the tired old standards.

Groupmuse does not charge for tickets. There is a $5 reservation fee, and a suggested $20/person contribution to the musicians. The contribution can be made in cash or on your phone at the event. All proceeds will go 100% to the talented musicians.
This will be an intimate, casual evening. Groupmuse events allow the audience to be up close to the musicians. Conversation is encouraged, and questions are welcomed! There will be refreshments served after the event and we'll get to meet the musicians and discuss the performance.
