Host
Join us for a program of art songs from the Romantic period through Impressionism and the early 20th century, performed by Stacey Mastrian, soprano and Mary J. Trotter, piano.
Ample street parking is available. Metro #5 or #44. Our house is high off the street and it's thirty steps to the front door. Attendees will be asked to make a donation (minimum $10) all of which goes to the musicians. Please bring any drinks and snacks you'd like to share.

Sarcastic, serene, serious, silly, and sublime art songs
(songs for voice and piano with poetic texts) --
Beloved favorites as well as rarities in Stacey and Mary's areas of specialization.
Gorgeous melodies and complex piano parts.
Poetry by poets such as Bourget, Silvestre, Mörike, and Petrarch --
Texts in English, French, German, and Italian
(translations and explanations provided!).
