Last fall, the Aspect Foundation of Music and the Arts brought us along for one of their multi-dimensional musical experiences with a sold-out Night Out. Well, on February 7th, they want us back at Bohemian National Hall, so back we’ll go!
This time around, the evening is an exploration of two great musical minds who lived in the shadow of Tchaikovsky - a star that shined so bright he muted all of those around him.
Sergei Taneyev and Anton Arensky were heroes of Russian Romanticism that have not fared as well through the tides of time and so on February 7th at 7.30pm, The Aspect Foundation will celebrate their finest moments of expression. Like all Aspect evenings, it’s not just a concert - it’s an exploration of intellectual history and the cultural context from which these pieces arose.
Intellectual and arts journalist Damian Fowler will bring us in with an illustrated talk, and then six of the absolute finest musical talents in the city and the world will take us to 19th century Russia.
And, on top of it all, there will be free snacks and wine.
Tickets are normally $45, but this is Groupmuse after all, so you can get yours for $20 - more than half off! But last time, these sold out, so jump on it!
Have a great Night Out!
