About

District5 is a daring DC-based wind quintet that specializes in new music and new transcriptions.

Members:
Laura Kaufman Mowry - flute
Alison Lowell - oboe
Amy Eich - clarinet
Matthew Gregoire - bassoon
Josh Thompson - horn

Our performances take us throughout Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. Recently, we have been presented by the Library of Congress, Anderson House, DC Kosciuszko Foundation, U.S. Department of State, Capital Fringe, Washington Arts Club, and the Barns at Wolf Trap. We have collaborated with Berlin Philharmonic Wind Quintet, the Gourmet Symphony, the LeDroit Chamber Players, other local composers and organizations.
