About

Stasie Asiya Gonikberg (Fomalgaut) is a Ukrainian born pianist, conductor, and composer. Stasie was trained in Jerusalem Rubin Academy of Music and Dance, Israel, Montclair State University, NJ, and Mills College (MFA, MA). Ms. Gonikberg performed in many international festivals and summer schools in USA and Europe, such as Summit Music Festival (NY), International Keyboard Institute and Festival (NYC), Semper Music Festival (Italy), Masters de Pontlevoy (France), USA Musical&Art Exchange piano festival, as well as BCO, UMD, SFCM conducting workshops, and others. Stasie has been teaching piano for years in multiple music schools in Israel, and taught piano and accompanied students as a teaching assistant at Mills College. Stasie’s interests in piano performance are widely spread between the traditional baroque and classical music, world music, experimentalism, solo and group improvisation art. She received multiple solo and chamber music awards.
