About

Elia Foster (she/her) is a clarinetist and educator based out of New York and Montréal. Elia values the relationships built across disciplines and is dedicated to the collaborative nature of new music. A passionate student of new music, Elia was recently accepted as a fellow with the 2020 Mostly Modern Festival and Bang on a Can Summer Institute.

An avid chamber player, Elia has performed alongside members of the Fifth House Ensemble, the Callithumpian Consort, and the Femmelody Chamber Music Collective.

Elia received a Masters in Music from McGill University and a Bachelors of Music from New York University. Past teachers include Simon Aldrich, Pavel Vinnitsky and David Blumberg.
