About

We are Duo Karolina Mikołajczyk & Iwo Jedynecki - a unique ensemble of violin and classical accordion from Europe. We are winners of Grand Prix and First Prizes at international music competitions (France, Italy, Austria, Croatia, Poland) performing i.e. at Carnegie Hall, Guangzhou Opera House and Warsaw Philharmonic, where we enjoyed our debut in 2017 to a sold-out audience. We have played recitals in France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Georgia, United States, Cuba, United Arab Emirates, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, China, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Brunei and Thailand. Superstar violinist Maxim Vengerov hailed us as "a duo so well-matched that sounds like one instrument" and we are passionate about sharing the love for music with our trailblazing group - the only duo of violin and classical accordion in the world performing original transcriptions of beloved classical repertoire. And we are now based in NYC thanks Fulbright scholarship at NYU!

with highlights such as:
- Bach's Goldberg Variations
- violin sonatas by Haendel, Mozart, Penderecki
- beautiful miniature pieces like Chopin's Nocturne and Ravel's Pavane
- tango nuevo music by Piazzolla
- optionally a themed film music recital that we presented most recently at the most important film music festivals in the world: Fimucite 2022 (Tenerife/Spain) and Cracow Film Music Festival (Poland)
